Geoscience Australia is responsible for the National Geodetic Data Base (NGDB) - the national archive of coordinates of national interest and superseded coordinates of historical importance.

State and Territory authorities maintain their own data bases of current survey control. Depending on individual resources and policies, the data may be available on-line, or metadata may indicate what is available and how to obtain it.
